Alex claims he grew up in DC, in reality he grew up in Silver Spring, MD. He went to school at Boston University and puts his Film & TV degree to use every day through endless hours of youtube and TikTok videos. He always does the 10pm Tony walk, and for that Laura agreed to marry him.

Laura is a renowned world traveler who now lives a whopping 23 miles from her childhood home. She loves filling her Saturdays and Sundays with tons of activities as long as they end by 5pm so she can cuddle with Tony (and sometimes Alex).

Our Story

First Meet

August 2021

Laura and Alex swiped on Tinder in August 2021, but due to busy travel schedules, it took eight weeks to plan their first date. Laura had a fantastic trip to Lisbon and Porto with her childhood friend Kaitlin, and Alex traveled to Asbury Park and Vegas with his college friends.

First Date

October 2021

They met for drinks at a wine bar and were pressured into ordering a full dinner. Editor's Note: This photo is from when we went back two years later.

Proposal

February 2024

Alex achieved the impossible and managed to surprise Laura with a proposal on a hike while on vacation in Maui. He is now trusted to plan vacations for the rest of their lives.

However, the venue is easily accessible via public transit/Uber if you prefer to stay in Manhattan. Please let us know if you have any issues booking!

What should I wear?

It's formal but not black tie, so no tuxes please. Think suits and elegant dresses.

How do I get from the hotel to the venue?

A shuttle bus will be leaving from the EVEN hotel (a quick walk from ACE and the Hilton) at 5:30pm and returning at 11pm and 12am, or you can uber/lyft/taxi. Please choose the Brooklyn Grange in Sunset Park and NOT Navy Yard, or you unfortunately will miss our ceremony.

Where is the ceremony?

The ceremony will be happening directly at Brooklyn Grange, Sunset Park and then we'll flow directly into Cocktail Hour.

Is there parking at the venue?

You can park in a satellite parking lot at 2nd ave and 32nd street or on-street parking under the BQE near the venue. Unfortunately, the parking lot immediately attached to the venue closes at 10pm so you need to use one of the options listed here. If you're driving, please text Alex or Laura directly and we can help out!

There are two brooklyn granges! Where do I tell the Uber to go?

You want the Sunset Park location, NOT navy yard! 850 Third Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11232

I'm at the location, how do I get to the roof? I'm currently wandering around Bed Bath and Beyond!

Towards the back of the parking lot, you'll want to enter through the Liberty Brooklyn awning on the western-most side (toward the water). Follow the signs for Alex and Laura's Wedding!

What are we eating again?

There will be passed Hors d'Oeuvres, salad, pasta, and then your already-decided choice of one of three entrees: Tahini Salmon, Short Rib, or Tofu with Chili Oil.
